Find text

1. Find text
The text to find is entered here. You can click on the zoom button at the end of the line for multi-line input. The find text cannot be empty.

Replace text

2. Replace text
The text to replace is entered here. You can click on the zoom button at the end of the line for multi-line input. This box can be left empty if you want to replace with nothing, though you will be warned.

Replace modes

3. Replace modes
There are several replace modes you can select:
 
  • Standard replace
  • Insert before - The replace text is inserted before the find text
  • Insert after - The replace text is inserted after the find text
  • Delete - The find text is deleted
  • Clear - The find text is replaced with white space
  • Replace with file name - The find text is replaced with the current file name
  • Replace with path/file name - The find text is replaced with the current path and file name
  • Change to lower case - The find text is changed to lower case
  • Change to UPPER CASE - The find text is changed to upper case
  • Change to Title Case - The find text is changed to title case

Standard mode options

4. Standard mode options
These are options you can apply to the search:
 
  • Case Sensitive
  • Whole words only
  • Ignore whitespace (Whitespace is ignored in the file text.  e.g. a search for "filename" may find "file name")
