The TextCrawler Scratchpad is a handy built in tool for viewing and changing the contents of your files. It is especially useful when combined with the Extract command and provides commands for cleaning and sorting your extracted data.
Toolbar
The toolbar provides several useful commands
Clear - clear current text
Paste - paste text from the Windows Clipboard to the cursor
Save - Save as a text file
Find - Find in current text
There are also several commands to manipulate the text in the scratchpad (Especially useful with extracted text)
Remove Duplicate Lines
Remove White Space (Removes blank lines and space/tabs at the beginning and end of each line)
Sort Ascending (Sort the text line by line)
Sort Descending
Select the command you require and click 'Do' to action it.
